# GitSyn (app)

> GitSyn is a home for creative work while it is still being made. People start a project in one of 15 disciplines, share progress as it happens, and publish the work in parts — chapters, tracks, episodes, releases — that others can read, watch or listen to. It is free to join and runs in any web browser at https://app.gitsyn.cc.

GitSyn is for anyone who makes things, not only software developers: writers, musicians, designers, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers, comic artists, podcasters, journalists, game developers, researchers, teachers, founders and community organisers.

How addresses work on app.gitsyn.cc:

- A person: https://app.gitsyn.cc/@handle — their profile (Syn Trace): projects, writing and a timeline of their work.
- A project: https://app.gitsyn.cc/project/<id> — what it is, its discipline and stage, its Story (dated progress moments) and its published parts.
- A published part (chapter, track, episode…): https://app.gitsyn.cc/part/<id>/read
- A post or article: https://app.gitsyn.cc/post/<id>
- Every public page is readable without an account and without JavaScript for crawlers; private work is never shown.
