Flames 🔥 of the Lads

By Abubakr Dukuray

We hoped to grow.

Well, here we are.

We did dream of a life long when we were young.
We really did wish for the time to pass fast so we can grow and live the dreams we had when we were young.

But oh boy, now we've grown, and now all we are are hours that pass.

And now we know that all we have is time.

Now we see life as it truly is.

Faced with its cruelty, all we can do is to fight,
for that's our only option if we truly hope to see the light we once had when we were lads.

And now we know there's only one way out of the fight, and that... that's the same even if we happen to win the battle in the tunnel.

But the hope is to keep the flames 🔥 alive and not give in to the way out, but prepare for the way out...
